My Car 1989 s13 coupe with sr20det Specs

Ok so some dumb ass disconected the egr and its just open on the stock turbo elbow. So I was just wondering can I just bolt this right in or will a flange need to be made???


One other question anyone run into problems with the lower bolt for the housing on this??? looks like a pain in the ass but I was thinking of taking the turbo off and doing it in my hand easyer??? Plus new gaskets wouldnt hurt.

The opening on the stock turbo elbow should be for your O2 sensor. IIRC JDM motors don't have EGR.

the jdm elbow has an egr port but u cant use it in usdm cars b/c the tube will hit the steering shaft. just take that unit off and put the greddy one on....btw the greddy unit is a PITA esp the bottom bolt i ended up taking a pos wrench and grinding it down just to put that nut on.

my redtop SR had something called EAI:

i dunno if its some sort of exhaust gas recirculation or something else (at least it's supposed to help with emmissions).

anyways, i removed it from my SR and blocked the bung on the stock elbow until i buy another elbow & dp.

yeah you can just that remove that egr box.i just ran that hose back in the pipe behind the motor where the first hose came out of.

but if you have a stock t25 you will have to bore out one of the holes as it will not fit directly on. its a minor mod. nothing to crazy.

the elbow fits on directly for t28's and greddy TZ series turbos.

yeah some one removed mine but jsut left the bung on the D/P open and it sounds like shit:aw:

thanks for all the input im going to get gaskets and hopfully try and pick up a turbo header instead of the stock cast??

any take on those 100 dollar ones on Egay???? :loco:

I bought a N/A Ka header for my 510 off Egay and It Turnd out pretty good thick flanges and i got it hot and never cracked :2f2f:
