Hey guys.

I never replaced the battery on my car before.
It's dead now and I need a new battery.
I have no idea what brand and what type of battery I need for my 240sx SE vert.
Any help would be great. I heard optima was a good choice.
How is Duralast?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

if you got the money get a optima or odyssey if not then just get a regular battery from any parts store.

I run a factory nissan battery which is made by Interstate and I have it over a year and have had no problem at all !! It's personal preferance and how much mony your going to spend. where ever you decide to buy a battery you are offered a warranty, keep that in mind.

My optima red top has saved me multiple times (i.e. leaving my lights on for a long time.)

Running strong for three years now.

Optima Redtop.
I accidentally left my dome light on over night, and my car started right up in the morning. Pretty impressive considering the battery was 3 years old.

make sure you get a battery with a good warenty and a good pro rating.with a acdelco battery you can get 5-7 year warenty. but most are 3 years. you can get a gruip 75 for about 60 dolors.

Duralast is crap. Get an optima or an interstate. Interstate batteries have been one of the top 2 quality rated batteries (fighting with ac delco) for as long as I can remember. If you do get an optima, get a redtop. The yellowtops are not worth the extra money and they don't seem to be able to handle being drained very well. Once you drain them they usually take a shit.

I have a walmart everlast MAXX battery heh but I absolutely HATE walmart

previous owner bought the battery from walmart it was still under warranty so I brought it to walmart to get a new one.

since it was late night, the auto section was closed so an employee helped me and took my battery and brought me back a new one.

I bring it home, battery terminals are on the wrong sides... bring it back that night talk tell them they gave me the wrong battery. they will NOT return it and give me the correct battery.. even though it's their fault. They say the battery needs to be checked before it's returned.

I missed class because I didn't have a car to get their

got a ride back to walmart in the afternoon, the guys at the auto section take my battery without checking it and give me a new one.

in the end, I missed a day of class because of a mistake made by them, great customer service

optima red top are great! If you want a lighter one get the model #25 it was like 7-11 lb lighter then my stock one.

I've left my car on so I could listen to music while I'm working on my car or someone else for hours on end. I have an amp and a self powered sub and my car starts up just fine and rocks on again and again.

Love this thing. Well worth the money.
