for those who have systems in your car, how did u run the power wire to the amp? i was thinking about drilling a hole in my firewall but then i just want to know if there is any other way in doing this. thanks.

well before I moved my battery to the trunk I just opened up the rubber gromment for the engine harness some more and ran it through there. with a little work I got a 4 guage through there. (runnng to a power distribution block for two amps)

through the fire wall if you can hide the wire in the car when we ran my friends 0 gauge we had to run it under the car b/c there is no way to hid wire that big in the interior but you can easily run 8 or 4 in your car 2 takes some work but it can be done. also be sure to use a grommet on the firewall hole so you don't damage your cable

I disagree. I have 0 gauge running through my interior. I just pulled up the carpet right near the door sill and ran it under that. No one knows it's there until they see under the hood. Whole thing is overkill, though...I only have about 400 watts. Oh well. It's super-clean Alpine V12 power, so it was worth the extra money for the wire.

There is a grommet close to the starter in my s13, and I could fit two power wires through. Tons of room in that grommet.

I drilled just below the hvac fan and fabed up a custom grommet. Then ran it where uiuc did.

BTW: 4 gauge.

U could be like me with a 10 gauge and just run it through the hood behind the fender and through the door. It's really ghetto but then again it works and you can't tell. Maybe one day I'll change it.

If you run it thorugh the firewall, make sure to use some sort of grommet. Otherwise you could cut the wire on the sharp edge and short out your electrical system.
I drilled a hole by the passengers feet and ran the wire under the carpet by the door, under the seat, and into the trunk.
