Off topic I know...

Coming from a guy who's worked on a lot of the fine automobiles that the now defunct Diamond Star Motors made.... I've noticed something.

With DSM's, you have 1. It either works or it doesnt work, be it blown headgasket, shot turbo, broken timing belt, whatever.

240's are similar, but there is 1 major difference. You choose not to have it running. Be it an engine swap, new suspension, rebuild/build, or an ongoing project shell you bought.

Am I right in assuming 240's are like reliable DSM's then? Parts are cheap, everyone has one, and alot of the time they dont run?

Ugh so jealous...I really like the little improvements Nissan made to the suspension and chassis with the S15. The overall look is nice too, and the interior seems a lot less dated.

I just have a 95 S14. In a few years I'll probably get a second car...undecided for now, but an S13 FB would be nice just to have the ability to carry bigger things around and interchange parts with my S14 if needed. S13 interiors suck though and it would be my DD, so I dunno.

I have redlined all three cars more often than not, and have had almost zero issues with them. I have maintained the cars very well, however and believe that is the reason they have been bulletproof. The s14 has broken down twice in 3.5 years and both were my fault. One I set the battery on the maf wire and it grounded out/shorted the ecu, and the second time I flooded the motor and was just too ignorant to figure it out.

My next nissan will be a 240z to join the 240sx and maybe a newer one for a daily. Don't see myself getting off the nissan train any time soon (maybe just an ls1 240z though)

Glad this thread has been revived! This sort of thing needs updating from time to time. Just to clarify, I only currently claim the 90 300zx and the upcoming 91 hatch will be a employee ride. There is also a 90 pickup that is prowling the lot at the moment. I had a question about the other zcar I have. It seems to be quite different than the other one. It was made 3-89 . It has 4WAS booster but not hicas. It has a strange ecu, and the wiring harness is different. Not sure where this ol girl came from. Does anyone know any more about her?
