i have just bought a seibon hood DV style for a s14 kouki. when i installed it on the driver side. it bolted on like butter but when i try bolting it on to the passenger side it doenst even line up at all. the holes on the hood were right below the holes on the bracker/mounts. and when i try to install it first on the passenger side. the driver side bolt up but when i slam the hood down the passenger side wont even go down, it wont even go into the oem hood latch. has anyone else has problems like this? or did i just got the bad batch? any help would be great. thanks.
P.S. Redrilling holes is an option but i would like to get as much info as possible before i go the redrilling route.

Just to verify, you're not tightening down one side completely, and then trying the other side right? You're just getting the bolts started I hope.

I second that motion for tightning down one side first. BUT if not get some fiberglass resin mark the holes put some grease on your bolt pour the resign in the drilled hole. put the bolt in the resin, let dry then and you have made your own.

If its new, you can contact seibon and see if they will send you a replacement.

how long does it ususally take for seibon to make me a new one? i mean i bought it from a shop clearence sale for 300 bucks. so idk how long the hood has been there.
Call and find out, email/fax your recepit over. Hopefully you got your hood from a authorized vendor. I'm going to assume they should have it in stock or locate one for you. Doesnt hurt to ask, worst thing that can happen is they tell you the can't do squat for you.

Maybe thats why it was on clearance? Mine was off just a little bit, but I was able to get it to fit after making the holes on the hinges bigger.

Seriously. You can't expect to cheap out on something like that and expect to get good fitment. Most of the time with cheap things like seibon you got to make them fit.

the thing is seibon IS NOT CHEAP
they're pricier than the ebay or generic brands
its not like its off by a little, my hood needed to be practically cut apart and put back together, which is pointless...might as well mold the damn thing myself out of putty and start pumping out hoods of my own to sell
fuck seibon
go super cheap if u just want a c/f hood or pay for a better brand

To the OP how much did you pay for the hood anyway?

Your hood is suffering from a common aillment known as "gelcoataminosis". Where an exhuberant amount of gelcoat is used to give the exciting deep (temporary) shiny finish. But shrinks horizontally to the surface to the point the the $hit wont fit unless you start cutting something.
If you want a legit hood, expect to pay $800 to $1,000.
