Tried searching, didn't see anything. If it does the job better than WD40 then I could definitely use it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but PB blaster is solely a rust eater, while WD-40 doubles as a lubricator. In my experience PB blaster works much better are breaking rust.

For what? I've heard that WD-40 is not a lubricant but a solvent. Which explains why it wears off my door hinges every few months and I gotta spray some more to keep it from squealing. I'm looking for a better spray lubricant now...

i just use some white lithium grease for my door hinges. the stuff actually lasts really long on door hinges. and this stuff is pretty inexpensive at auto zone.

The best thing I have ever used, that blows PB blaster and WD 40 out of the water, is Kano Kroil. You have to order it from the company, but the shit works on anything thats stuck. ANYTHING.

I would swear my life on it.

They are two different things. WD40 is a silicon lubricant. PB eats rust... and styrofoam cups :)

Without looking at other posts, I'm going to say that PB Blaster is better than WD-40 and has yield good results.

In response to the OP... Yeah PB blaster is better.

Kroil is still the best IMO.

PB Blaster > WD 40

Matter of fact, everything > WD40.

When I need to lubricate something lightly, I use old motor oil. Unless it's delicate. I have air tool oil for that.

dont know if any knows this but, if anyone has a off color spot on ur car like my car for example, my bumper is a faded red, so one day my dad tells me about how using pb blaster or wd40 (doesnt really matter) makes ur paint shine, so i did it and i was is shock, bought my bumper back to a bright red (aztec red) and i did my whole car, spray a little on and wipe it with a reg like ur buffing it and it brings back shine in paint, takes oxidation out of head lights, now i use wd40 or pb buster on my whole car, lol just wash ur car then wd40 the whole thing, makes it shine, like a gressy pice of chicken, lol, i guess it lubes the paint and shit, idk but i love it :)

PB Blaster will eat through anything that is not metal.

When Chuck Norris cries on rare occasions, PB Blaster comes out his eyes.

I wish I would of known this when I was trying to get my stuck lug nuts off my cars. Ah well. I'll still use it on the ones I can.

Thanks a lot

that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. You are dissolving every last bit of wax from the clearcoat. Thus leaving your car completely unprotected from the elements. If the chemicals don't ruin your paint.....the sun will

Just wash the car regularly and wax it once a month.

grassroots motorsports suggested mixing half acetone with half auto tranny fluid and putting it in a spray bottle supposedly makes a very good rust breaker

WD-40 is Water Displacement formula #40. It displaces water and works to keep rust away.

PB blaster penetrates rust and is a lubricant. Two totally different things. I use PB when I'm milling and I use WD when I need to protect something like cylinders or crankshaft journals and I don't want to cosmoline them. If I've got something for long term storage "lineblocker" works wonders.

WD40 is not a lubricant it is a water displacement formula number 40 thus it removes moisture, which causes rust and prevents proper functioning of moving parts.

but anywho BG inforce is the best stuff money can buy. As an auto tech from the north east I have used pretty much every product on the market and inforce is by far the best.

However long it takes you to put the spray can down and grab your wrenches.

I also recommend Kroil. Evidently they have different products, so all I'm familiar with is Aero-Kroil...but it knocks corrosion off stuck bolts on all the flight controls I work on. It's miles beyond PB Blaster.

Hah, especially when used to light a Christmas tree. Ashes all over the Subies and 40s but it was well worth it.

As 95% of these posts say, the two products are used for different situations. Let's just say have both around.
