I have been looking all over the internet for good prices on quality lifts, but i can't seem to tell the difference between manufacturers. I want to get the best lift i can so that it will never need to be repaired. It has to have a low ground clearance, b/c it will be lifting very low cars. I want it to lift at least 6' high. It hopefully will be under $4,000!!!!!!!!!

Here is what i have found so far...

http://www.autoequipmentonline.com/autoequipmentonline/alignlifts.html
http://www.mohawklifts.com/intro.htm

Please tell me your opinions, and what local shops are using in your area!

thanks,
DbD

I've heard that snap-on lifts are good...never used on myself though. I can't remember what kind of lifts we use at school but I'll check. I like one of them but I don't think has the "low ground clearance" that you want. It is a hydraulic (sp?...really sleepy) lift. Two other ones we have are pneumatic lifts but they are in the floor. The other two are hydraulic lifts but they are pieces of ****.

How low are you talking. 2-3"? What? How heavy are the vehicles you are gonna be lifting? How high is your ceiling?

ha ha ha ha with snap on expect to get hit with a strap on!

Have you ever seen thier prices? yeah good quality but your not opening up a damn shop that brings in over 30 grand a month!

Why dont you go to some different shops and ask what lifts they use.

You have your lifts that get built into the ground which are more expensive and are a pita to remove if you relocate or get shut down. and then you have the ones that are bolted in.

see if they have some kind of auto lift forums.... you never know they have forums for 80's disco music:confused:
