it means that your crank sensor may be bad. depends whether you have an s13 or s14 ka because the crank sensors are in different locations.
s14's have theirs on the bell housing of the transmission. its fairly easy to take off and replace. however, on an s13 the sensor is actually integrated with the distributor. honestly, im not exactly sure how it works, but obviously it gets signal from the cam gears.
if the sensor is bad, you may run rich because the ecu may fall into a fail safe mode because its not receiving a correct reading from the sensor as to which cylinders need spark and fuel at their specified times.

Incorrect. The crank position sensor is only found on S14s, on the bellhousing, and diagnoses misfire. It has no other purpose and the car runs fine without it.
The cam position sensor is found in the distributor on both S13 and S14, it sends the signal for ignition control and if bad would not allow the car to even start.
So the the OP, look behind the engine, below the EGR pipe. If you see the sensor, remove and replace. It's often broken during a clutch job since no one remembers to remove it first. That is if you want the CEL gone. If you don't mind the light and can pass emissions with it on, don't even worry about it.

That's what I said, but I'll repeat it for you.
The crankshaft position sensor does absolutely nothing to effect air, fuel, timing, or driveability.
You can also browse around on here and find dozens of posts about the sensor and it's purpose.
