I want to get my SR20DET in this spring. It's been sitting in my garage since december, slowly getting some work done but since weather has sucked I stopped till it gets warmer. I'm trying to figure out what parts I still have to buy, cause we all know we forget things and it's the little parts that get us.
Parts I have:
SR20DET Redtop with all harness/ecu/turbo and lots of cut hoses
Greddy V-SPL FMIC kit
Hotpipe with flange for BOV
HKS SSQV
SSQV Recirculating adaptor
SPEC Stage 2 Clutch
Walboro Fuel Pump
Downpipe
Parts I know I need:
Fuel Filter
Fluids (Oil, antifreeze, etc)
Plugs
Belts Hoses
Radiator
Fan
Flywheel
That should get everything running. Anyone think of something.

Gauges (oil pressure, water temp, egt, boost)
Make sure all the seals on that motor are still good just check the outside ones on the front of the motor, and then by the flywheel.
Ignitor chip
Test pipe / Catalyser
Exhaust

What do I need to make it work? EZ Install Kits Here
If you get an engine that is complete, it should come with everything needed to do the swap EXCEPT the intercooler, intercooler piping, blow off valve, and downpipe. We recommend replacing the clutch and fuel pump also. Along with the engine and transmission, you should receive the following parts:
Top Engine Harness ECU engine harness ECU Lower Engine / transmission harness Power Steering pump Power Steering high pressure Line Power Steering reservoir if SOHC car, DOHC has correct reservoir Alternator - can use some DOHC KA Alternators Starter AC compressor Ignitor Chip and assembly Wastegate solenoid controller Turbo inlet pipe Turbo outlet pipe Canister Engine mounts MAFS - SOHC can be wired to work Turbo Wastegate actuator Cam Angle Sensor Throttle Body Turbo exhaust outlet extension Bell housing bolts
Sometimes engines that are missing things like the ECU or with a cut harness are offered at a discount from Heavy Throttle or other vendors. Be aware that some parts are easier to find than others. Currently main engine harnesses are difficult to find. ECU, MAF, CAS, Ignitor Chip - these things are relatively easy to find.
