Hey there, OK so I order these whiteface guages

http://www.importintelligence.com/FMPro?-DB=cart.fp3&-Format=8994hud.html&-Token=40923&-RecID=40923&CustID=USA&-Edit

When I got them the instructions said to aquire some application fluid from your local sign shop that did vinyl applications. So I went to my local shop and showed the guy what I got and everything and he told me "Basically you are puting water on your dash and if any of that what gets into the wiring your screwed." He said to dry stick it on there which would work but if I screw up and have bubbles in there Im screwed but with the application fluid it gives you time to fix the bubbles while it slowly dries. Now my question is has anyone done these before? Did you use the fluid and have you had any problems? If not how did you do it? Also I have the digital speedo so thats another reason why I am doubtful bout using that fluid. Thanks for the help.

Ive installed them before, its really not as bad as you think. I used a small ammount of dish soap with water and applied it with my fingers so you dont get to much on there. A better way is to get a spray bottle and instead of putting the water on the gauge, put it on the vinyl and then apply it. All in all its actually real easy and you should have no worries of getting water on your dash.

Hey thanks for the reply. So no water goes through where you take off the needle or anything? Im still debating whether or not to use it but thanks for the positive reply.

It could get in there, but if you spray the vinyl or put the water on with your fingers you should have no problem.

the best way is to take the factory guage faces off completely and use the dishsoap/water and a small squeegee to get all the bubbles out. these guagefaces look like the factory white gauges in my friends 99' maxima.
