No worries - I'm in the same boat as far as college and funds are concerned. I could just use the motor in this in another 240, and then spend some time rebuilding the old one. I have a spare tranny too, so it wouldn't be a big deal for me.

Thanks for not taking offense to my offer. I am trying to not be a lowballer, but that other car I got for $500 has a perfect body, 103k miles, clean title and 3/4 converted black interior (from brown). Maybe I just got a good deal, but it took quite a bit of hand-wringing to finally decide to get it.
Either way, I'm not a fan of primered cars, so I'd basically want it for the engine. After that, I'd have to spend some time and money making it look presentable, and run again.

Let me know if you end up changing your mind.
