I have been following the 2003 GTO for sometime it will be coming out in late 2003. The GTO will share much of the styling of the current 2002 Holden Monaro CV8 coupe. Link (http://www.pontiac.com/pontiacjsp/gto/launch/index.html?source=concept) :D

that thing is sweet! I want one. I didn't see it, but did they mention what the price would be?

rented the XXX movie (the vin diesel one you sickos) and there is actually a pretty good little commercial with some good shots of the new GTO in it and I was just telling my GF the styling reminded me of that Holden

Yeah it does look like an import, anyways i wonder how it handles? on a another note whats the big deal with the mazada 6? is it anything special? its still fwd right?

The 6 replaces the 626. It's nothing that special, but for a midsize sedan they did a good job of keeping the styling clean and making it fun to drive.

But it doesn't stop there. It's pretty much confirmed, in a couple years there will be an AWD, turbocharged Mazdaspeed 6 (similar to the MPS concept car).

i dont like it. The engine looks great and all, but to me it just looks like they took a Tiburon and grafted a grand am front end to it.

.....and they're calling this thing a GTO.....

at least it's going to be RWD V8 unlike the 2000+ Impalas which in my opinion a disgrace V6 FWD

GTOs are legendary, I think reusing the name is a disgrace. Once something is dead, RIP.

Looks are okay, I think it fairly matches the original GTO (which was more of a typical sedan than a sports car too). Two observations: 1) that tach no the website only goes to 5k... how typical ;) 2) We get THIS instead of a Trans Am. Um, can I trade back?

Mark - who hopes the Camaro comes back before they bury that name :(

A friend of mine who runs a gm dealership is saying that the Monaro will look almost identical except for a badging change as the GTO but use the setup like Holden motorsports with the GMPP 427 LS-1 and you could slap a lot of high dollar cars around
