1993 240SX Driver's side Door Lock broken-Help Please!

Driver's side door lock won't open on a 1993 240SX SE Cpe
When I open it counter clockwise, the lock cylinder moves counter clockwise too, it does not hold its normal vertical position.
The drivers side operates a Power Lock sequence for both driver and passenger locks.
Something must have been broken from the inside.

I also need your assistance in removing the dood panel on the drivers side.

Please help, and appreciate anyone's assistance.

Remove the door panel. Door handle trim can be pried off. Grab handle has a bolt hidden under a cover. Manual window crank has to be pulled off with a sharp knife or a tool.

Follow the panel around and there are about 3 more small screws depending on driver or passenger side. Then just snap and pull back the entire panel.

Before messing with the handle mechanism, make absolutely sure you know how the rods go into the lock cylinder. It's a little tricky so take some pix if you have to.

The lock cylinder is held on by 2 nuts. Remove the whole thing and check to see what's broken.

Consult the FSM for location of screws and nuts.
