Well i got pulled over for the first time tonight. I was at sonic and my girlfriend and her friend were with the friends mom. So a cop pulls in while we are talkin and i think about my exhaust and how loud it is and prayed that i wouldnt get pulled over. So its really lighted right in that strip, and im so caught up on my exhaust and as i was pulling out and got about 100ft down the road i remember my lights so i flip them on but sure enough they pulled me over. He was a freaking dick about it to and he kept insisting my insurance was expired when it said 8-4-09. It was a very stupid mistake cause thats usually the first thing i do at night. I guess the lights and my exhaust got to me. But yeah. My sister was with them also and she busted up cryin and their mom came over and talked to the police officer. It was embarrassing. But yeah. Just wondering what yall got pulled over for the first time.

really though, i was on my way home from school when i was 17 or so. had a friend in the passenger seat and a friend in the back. we decided it would be fun if my friend in the passenger seat would steer and i would just work the pedals and shift.

so we did that for a ways. we were on country roads, so there was littler traffic and no hard corners or anything. easy stuff.

then i noticed a car start tailgating me, so i sped up, and he sped up, and i sped up some more, and he sped up some more, and i decided that was too fast so i cut back a bit and held that speed. my friend was still steering.

then a speed trap was coming up, so i took the wheel back and slowed down to the speed limit, and passed the sheriff who was right where he always was.

then the car behind me turned onto the road where the sheriff was, and then the sheriff pulled out and turned his lights on.

FUCK

so i pulled over and he walked up.
"hi, do you know why i pulled you over?"
"no sir"
"that car behind you was an off duty officer. he said you were speeding and driving erratically."
thinking to myself, THAT MOTHERFUCKER!
and of course i wasn't going to tell him i wasn't the one steering :coolugh:
then the sheriff asked for my license, reg, and proof of insurance.

side story: i had a leaky heater core, and on this particular day, my glove box and all its contents were in the trunk

so i told the sheriff "that stuff is in the trunk. can i go get it from there?"
he said "sure"
so i got out, and then i noticed his name badge said FARR. farr is not a common name, and there was a kid i was in marching band with with that name, so i thought the sheriff might be his dad. that was a problem because i had stolen a marching band hat and it was in my trunk along with my glovebox. i hoped he didn't know we were supposed to have given the hats back along with the uniforms several months earlier.

so i gave him my papers and he checked em out and let me go with a warning.

We were pulled over for expired plates and excessive window tint. the cop pulled me over in a maco paint shop parking lot. He claimed we had been huffing paint and were high had us pulled out of the car and cuffed before i could help him realize that the fumes he smelled were from maco painting cars 20ft from us. I think he was a bit embarrassed and wrote me a warning and i had to appear at the station to show them i removed all the tint and renewed my plates. I was pulled over about 5 months ago I was 15! I was driving home with my bro in the car a black 240sx. As we pulled out of his girlfriends road I see a car from far ahead. Anyways I was driving home casually all the way. He lived like 5 miles away from his girlfriends house it was like 2 AM. I made it to the last corner of where we lived, and parked the car in the driveway. The car that I had seen from when we left his girls house was behind us. Turns out it was a cop! I was all scared I was a month away from getting my drivers permit. (still don't have it) He came to the window asked both of us for license and registration. I didn't have any form of ID, I was scared like crazy.

When the officer asked for license I said softly, "I don't have one."

He goes to his car and, takes a long time! I'm all shivering. It was freezing. I only had a white muscle shirt the officer with his big jacket. Anyways, he comes back 10 minutes later.

Officer: Reason I pulled you guys over was, there was a call saying someone was stealing from behind a truck, and the guy said they were driving a black compact car with a loud exhaust. You guys just get that stereo put on?

My brother: We've had for a while now its all boot leg.
Officer asking me: Is that true?
Me: Yes, we got it off the yellow van.
Officer: OK, I'm going to let you guys go. Why were you driving?
Me: (silence)
Officer: OK then. Thought you could drive and not get caught? Don't let me catch you driving again. This is a warning. Next time I see you driving you wont get your license till your 18.

He leaves we walk in home. The next day I was all embarrassed my bro was telling everybody I was shitting bricks. Fun times though fun times.

ridin in the backseat of my friends LS400.. we where goin out to the clubs in LA, friend kinda makes a left turn in a intersection kind of fast and we get pulled over before jumping on the freeway.. I was doing 95 in a 40 in Modesto. CHP came out of the shadows behind me and turns his headlights on as I approach a stop sign. so I instantly go, wtf? where did he come from than I notice the spot light on the a pilar ad think "FUCK! where did he see me at? "
so I pull over after he lights me up as I go through the stop sign.
( i have 2 uncles who are in law enforcement, and i remembered what they told me about getting pulled over. they told me what to do, but said if I named dropped it was my ass. )( I was maced for laughs by one uncle so I could only imagine what he would do if he was mad)
so I pull over, (remember this it is usefull, works 9 out of ten times)
roll all your windows down, put your keys in plain sight on the dash, turn the radio off, and put your hand on the steering wheel, but also make sure when you pull over you give the cop enough room to approach your car at both sides( this makes them much more comfortable, and calm)
so I do this and as he walks up it went a lil like this....

my first ticket was for expired inspection, 11/07 during spring '08. thats all, i've been pulled for reckless driving but not ticketed, just given a warning. ever since i got my Z (which is what has the expired inspection which hasnt been inspected still) i've driven slow in and havent gotten much attention except for a thumbs up or nostalgic conversation. i love this car :)

I was in my SR'd 240 racing a new GTO in the rain after curfew. We hit ~100 in a 45 and came to an intersection, I got in the left turn lane and he blew thru. As soon as my light was green I light the tires up and went through the intersection sideways... noticing there was a cop in the right hand turn lane facing me. I legally turned left on a yellow light at 4:45am on my way to crew. Little shit grilled me about being out etc. etc. I was 19 years old, dammit, I can legally drive in a legal manner at any time of the day. Austin cops need better things to do.

Atleast all he gave me was a warning. Every cop I have ever met off duty is polite and generally a good person. Why cant they act that way on the job? Negative reinforcement has never worked for anyone...
