So im installing arp head studs with a apexi hg and I was wondering weather you use the arp lube when u hand tighted the studs into the block, I know u use it when torquing the head down. Also how the hell do u get a broken exhaust stud out. Ive been drilling one for ten mins and it has like a 2mm dent in it nothing close to what i need to get an easy out in ther.

With drilling stuff out, it's always easier to start off with a small bit and go to progressively larger ones. I had to drill out an exhaust bolt and switching to a skinny bit ate right through to the other side.

Yes! You put the studs themselves in hand tight then you put the head on and tourque the head stud nuts to spec with a 12mm socket.

Put the ARP lube on the stud screw it into the block and get an allen-head wrench and run them in untill hand tight.(sometimes their is crud on the threads that prevent the head stud from being screwed in all the way---hence an allen-head wrench hend tight) put head on and torque in sequence to spec !! ( usually a 2 step process) GL

use a left handed drill bit to get the stud out.. HF sells a 5 piece set for like $10
