I just finished my oil cooler setup not too long ago. I am about to do my first oil change since the install and I was wondering if I need to drain the oil cooler too, or if I am fine just draining the pan.
My setup is:
TOMEI block adapter
Earls thermostat
Summit filter relocation
Setrab 16x6 oil cooler

i just change the oil and not drain the cooler
car takes like 7 quarts of oil w/ the cooler the filter the lines and the greddy pan
that stuff in the cooler and lines meh..enough was changed would befine
oil always comes otu cleaaaaan anyways
since engine was rebuilt and i change oil often enough, i dont worry about it.
personally, i wouldnt waste the time.

Depends on how $H!TY you let the oil get,if you are like the above member then its no problem. But if its all black & whatnot then take the cooler off & drain it.

after my shit gets running I'm going to make sure I can easily access my oil cooler set up, any old oil still in those lines or the oil cooler itself will mix with the new oil, which isn't bad really, but I'm so OCD after spending so much on my engine that it will just make me feel that much better about all of it.
