why not -6? providing you have the room and the bends are not really tight (or use angled fittings) i believe you cannot go wrong with a incremental increase in size for the all mighty fresh/cool supply.
you can always use a restricted orifice if ever needed.
Stock banjo bolt diameter is a little small than a -4 AN line. I went -4 on mine - easier to run up to the coolant neck.
The water lines are mainly there for when you shut the car off FWIW.

I use -6AN coolant lines for the feed and for the return.

ehhh JIC pushlocks are realllllly nice, but i think im going earls
My take on it after doing probably more AN lines than most on this forum - Summit hose ends are actually really nice and easy to assemble. Not a fan of the almost impossible to get off logo, but you can turn the ferrule where you can't see it 99% of the time.
They make Push-Lock type fittings too, and both types are cheaper than any other brand.
Aeroquips are also pretty easy to put together, and I'd say Earl's smaller stuff is the hardest to put together. Some of their -4 stuff is damn near impossible to assemble with only your hands.
