My gf took me to convoy street. There's a really good korean tofu place there.
I forgot the name though.
It's next to this crawfish place and tapioca express. It's on the corner.
Great food and affordable too.

i just discovered that place, not bad for a fast food chicken place... chicken pieces are small though... I actuaally had the idea of $1 drumsticks (like the value menu) didnt know they had put it into rpactice ;]
i love bul gogi, kal bi, dae ji bul bolgi, korean bacon, basically any type of korean bbq. and soon doo bu (tofu soup) is good as well, although it varies on the place. and i appreciate places that serve barley tea like water.

occasionally, maybe twice a yr I check out the all you can eat kbbq's. There's a place in K-town, Los Angeles I go to that does it for $17, by the name of Mu Dung San. They have pretty good duck and decent rib meat too. Soot Bull Jeep seems to have better quality and the bbq uses coal for more flavor, but its more expensive and not all-u-can-eat
My fav dish is their version of steak tartare, 'Yukhoe'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yukhoe
I am not too much a fan of bulgogi marinade. it's a bit too sweet for me.

In SD, off convoy, BEHIND tapioca express and Greentea house. there is a korean place there that's also a karaoke joint. very good food. its the smaller one in the corner not the bigger one.
i'm gonna guess the name but most likely wrong "minsonsomething"

I'll one-up you and go with this:
http://encyberimg.encyber.com/updata/travelkorea/200610/20/1161340747448.jpg
It's supposed to be all healthy and stuff, and it's DELICIOUS with Kimchi pancakes.
I can't find the Chinese-style naeng-myun made with green noodles, but oh well.
And it seems like a lot of things taste better in Korea. Ie., at KFC they give you Strawberry jam that you can bend the little plastic packet onto your biscuit.
Everything used to be stupid cheap too. Like, Kimbap would cost a couple bucks at the local stand.

Manna = TERRIBLE. That place is gross. Floor is greasy and its like a frat party in a cafeteria. Meat is mediocre at best.
I got a couple places I go to in K Town but I ain't gonna share cause they are tiny and I don't want to wait in line with more people going LOL!
I have been to Soot Bul Jeep with the homies from City Tire, and that place is awesome!

Lol, have to agree with you there about Manna. but for the $, most of those all-you-can-eat kbbq places have about similar quality. I think Mu Dung San is a lot better for the same price, but still nothing to brag about other than the Duck. their Bulgogi is among the worst. I don't like Bulgogi anyways, so it bother me not.
Soot Bull Jeep is great, other than the god-awful service (I always bring my own water, and would also bring my own rice if I could). Coal makes a huge difference, and their marinades are awesome no doubt.
