having problems with my s14

i bought an s14 from some guy. and i just found out it has a s13 in it. any way when i give it gas white smoke comes out. and the idle on car is really low. it starts fine but then it goes 500 and it dies some times. what can i do to fix this thanks!

white smoke could mean leaky injector. can also mean a blown head gasket. former is really minor, the latter is pretty serious.

smell the smoke coming out the exhaust. does it smell kind of sweet, or does it smell like gas?

dang this project was going to be more than i expected...sucks ..how much am i looking at to fix it. do you know about the idle why its so low and it dies every once in a while. sometimes it struggles to stay on?

i hope not. i ordered the valve cover gasket. so iam going to do my oil change and flush my coolant so i hope that goes away

Ummm...if its a blown headgasket, none of that shit will help. Do a compression check to make sure. Im willing to bet you'll find a low compression cylinder, thats why your idle is shit...
