I just finally got the alignment fixed now just when I got it back yesterday the idle was high on it. I start it and it idles normal for a few then rises to just below 1K rpm. Before it would stay right in between 5 and 1 on the tach. I turn on the AC it goes up just over 1000 then when I turn it off it just drops a little not as much as it did before. Anyway have any ideas. I have 111,000 miles on a 95' se.

thanks

That's really not that high of an idle. Unplug the TPS and use the idle adjustment screw on the IACV if you want to adjust it.

Could Be IACV.Throttle Sticky? Carbon?
could be anything...down to coolant/TPS I learned today.

Is This after it has been running before or 1st Start up.
Coolant Temp sensor?
I have a New one if ya need it.

**I had a Great 1st Crank idle when my timing was Waaay advanced...now that its Spot on (per Consult),..my 1st Crank Idle is Rough for the 1st 20-30sec's.Crazy.**

Coolant/Throttle body components I understand acts as the "Choke" on FI cars...but moreso on 1st Crank issues.

If thats high then my car is messed up it idles at 1k-1.1k so yeah i thought it was okay. but i read once in the manuel that it should idle at 800 ?

I notice a slight hissing sound it sounds like its coming from the back of the engine compartment somewhere. Steering rack had just been disconnected from the steering knuckle to realign the tooth setting becuase the steering wheel would turn farther to the right than to the left before it locked up. They had to disconnect it when they had to remove the oil pan to replace the gasket. I had to take it back because they had to realign the rack and knuckle so later that night i noticed the idle issue then last night i noticed a hissing noise. Just wondering if something might be loose..
