You know those little cups on the door below the door handle? Where you tend to grab them when you open or close your door? I closed my door today and it came off with my hand as I was gripping it. Also...I hear that damn trunk rattling everyday, seems like it's getting louder. Anyone share this pain? Man...I hope the new Nissans aren't like this, I praise them for engineering, but their interiors are crappy. My windshield wiper flicker is starting to fade...I thought this only happens to S13s! I have S14!

I fixed that thing on the door by super-gluing it onto the area where the bolt is (cuz the bolt's plastic surrounding cracked off causing this piece to come off).

My glove compartment is still working properly.

How to fix the trunk rattling?

not sure what the cup thing is your talking about but if you have a hatch try checking to make sure the bolts are secured on the rear whiper motor and all that; mine rattled for a while; tightened those down and no more rattle :) Oh well hope that can help a little bit. if you have a coupe or if it wasn't that check all the other bolts; check the spare tire well make sure theres nothin loose down there.

Best thing to do for trunk rattle is just take bits of cardboard or whatever, and jam them in the spots that you think might be rattling. If that works and solves the problem, then get some dynamat, or roofing spray. That stops a lot of the rattling.

I had a trunk rattle prob my self an found that the little plastic bit that goes between the crossing wires(I think they're wires, cant think of the word right now but they put tension on the lid to lift it up), that's right under the rear deck inside the trunk, was deteriorating and allowed the wires to touch causing a rattle. Repled it, no more rattle. Hope that helps.

Trunk rattle solution I've figured out was the latch has two bolts which reinforce it down onto the frame. These two bolts were a tad bit loose and the whole trunk latch assy ended up sliding downward (I'm guessing after a period of time slamming the trunk) and the whole latch assembly needed to be moved up a bit by about 1 inch. The thing was rattling due to the looseness of the bolts.

I'm not sure if this is the same for the S13, but my S14 seems to be OK now.

Mannn, my windshield wiper flicker is still fading.

that explain why there was a little toy in the hatch door lock when I bought my car. the sunroof whistling is really annoying in long trips too.

I assume the sunroof isn't the moonroof that comes with the coupe? I never hear a whistle up there.

The one on the s13 hatch is pretty noisy. Again, get bits of cardboard and wedge them underneath the clip, towards the front of the car. This will hold the clamp more securely, should be a lot quieter.

hahaha, oh yeah that reminds me, I had a white S14 a while ago before I hit a wall with it, I bought it with some aftermarket sunroof, and it used to leak in water while it rained. I thought dang, stock wouldn't be like this.

My friend's S13 came with the factory sunroof (the unit which you can only pull either up or down), that thing started leaking water and pulled peter-pans everytime we were on the freeway.
