View Full Version : Tectom MDM-100?!?!?! problems

Has anybody seen a 89-93 SR powered 240sx with a working tectom MDM-100? If so I would love to know how you wired it I see s14's w/SR's with them but it will no work in my car SR powered s13.....when i plug it in it say "communcations error" Help:confused:

I don't have any personal experience with the MDM-100 but I did do a little research on it a while back.
In order to get it to work I suspect you'd have to rewire that communitcations port. Find out where each on the MDM's wires run to (rpm, injector pulse etc) and either run those wires straight to the ECU or splice from the Comm port to the ECU. That should do the trick.

You will need to wire in directly into your computer as most(all) wiring conversion for the SR20 do not hook up the wire to the port for the 100 to work.......:)

It doesn't work that way. There aren't as many wires on the consult port as there are pieces of info it can give. It must send a signal to the ECU to tell it what it wants, and then get that info back.

There are four wires that go the the Nissan consult (green/white, green/black, green and I think brown that have to be hooked up the the 100.....

Damn that sounds like a lot of sh*t man all my friends with BB's and GTI-R's theirs all work... o yeah they use the usdm harness tho
