Someone want to tell me what a engine cage is?
I seriously never heard of this ever
We don't have "engine cages". Nissan just uses motor mounts. Usually, they mount onto the subframe. If you look underneath the car, you'll see.

Whoa, calm down man! There is NOT anything called an "engine cage" in a 240sx. So you think a little. If it's "slang" for the subframe or something we aren't hip to it. Like Mark said, the engine mounts to the SUBFRAME, it's the "damn" same thing as you so nicely stated. Use the correct term and your questions will be answered easier. If you don't use the correct word don't bitch about the response. So to answer your question, it's one peice. The engine mounts to the subframe the subframe mounts to the chassis.
