Damn 1989 240sx's use different relays, 6 pinned with two switch relays for their AC control. My compressor won't come on at all, but when I jump the power to the compressor it does.
Pressure on the LP side is at 43psig so it is not over pressurized, and when jumped the AC blows ice cold, now problems.
Before this happened, the compressor would shut on/off intermittently.
So the AC compressor is supplied power when voltage is detected across pins 1 & 2 on the relay.. I noticed (with my multimeter) this:
Pin 1: 12V Pin 2: 2.5V? Condition: AC off
Pin 1: 12V Pin 2: 3.0V? Condition: AC on
Kinda weird.. a new relay costs $25 from nissan, anyone have a quick idea on how to test the old one or know of another signal source I can use to hotwire my own AC relay to the compressor ?
