well im new to zilvia and figured i would say hi, and show u all the "BIG" project! ive owned this s14 for quite sometime. started with like 5-6 ka-t setups. then i went v-mount sr20 setup. i really enjoyed it. i made 427 to the wheels but i wanted something more i sold the setup and when't RB26!! WOOT! been going at the complete chassis build over 14months now. heres some pixs, ENJOY---

when i first got the motor from jdm of miami, i started with a fully oem rebuild.

the motor is a basic rebuild with some goodies.
bottomend-
acl race bearnings
cryo treated rods
JE piston rings
knife edge crank(oil pump drive collar fixed with JUN peice
micro polished crank
tomei oil restrictor
everything eles in the block is oem replaced

topend-

mild port and polish
Greddy clear timing belt cover
oil return galleries drilled out

this was the motor about 8 months ago-

with this build im getting carried away, and just cant stop spending money!!! i tell everyone im an aftermarkey part whore!!! lmao

here is my new interior setup, suede dash with guage setup ftw and a custom 6 point cage.

heres some more pixs about 3 months ago-

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/Image001.jpg

heres a pic of the fuel setup, since this pic if added 1 more walbro 255 to the setup-
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/Image003.jpg

ok well she runs!! and she sounds so sick!!!!

but, since my aftermarket part whore side of me wont let me leave the car alone, so i made sure the car ran great and then some stuff came apart!
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/th_Video000.jpg (http://s177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/?action=view&current=Video000.flv)

i deceided to polish my valve cover(i did them myself)-
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/cover.jpg

i also deceided togo with a new turbo setup. i was using before a 60-1 wet float bearning, now im running a precision hybrid turbo(gt30 rear setup with gt35r front)
its dual ceramic ball-bearnings! so sick. added a hks velocity stack to the mix since now im running a power fc d-jetro(ditch mafs for map sensors)
http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w230/drftns14/turbo.jpg

the chassis has full suspension, all adj. arms, tein coilovers, swaybars, ll the works. also 350z front brakes with 300zx rears, hydrolic ebrake! this car is going to be a full track car. i want everything to be on the same level with this car!!!!

thats it for now folks. ill keep u all updated on the build. there are still so many things left and factors to still be figured out. all comments are taken! ENJOY!!!

I was going to rip on you for thinking your car is worthy of "baby eater" as a project name, but i take it back now.

Autometer gauges?

I was thinking the same thing... don't skimp on the gauges when everything else has been attended to so carefully.

ok, ive been super busy today at work so ill answer all questions now

i work for my family owned textile mill. in pompano beach fl. we make lots of fabric. we specialize in window treatments(verticals, hortizonal, drapries u name it we go it) our family business is the place that did my dash! its amazing! we have contracts with nike(we make the fabric for the soles of there shoes) and a contract with the goverment for the USAF(we make insulation for their jet fighters/bombers) i make a fair amount of money but in no way am i rich! i live on my own, and have 14 month old son. im also engaged so the car is the last place money is beening spent.

i chose autometer guages because they just simply work. i dont need to be jdm tight with cool color guages of read them in metric system. pros use autometer guages(NHRA,NASCAR) so why not me! but to each their own i would say.

the bucket seat i have in the car for the pixs was a ebay special one lol. but its gone now, ill post it for sale later. i now ordered 2x large buddy club seats with takata harness(im fat, so i need a large seat, also i saw them in full locks for sale post in his car and i fell in love)

i polished the valve cover with a polishing wheel and buffer(the one that looks like a bench grinder) i polished many things before so i know what im doing, i also used many diffrent typrs of wheels and clays. it takes some time and is fucking messy!

i will be updating this thread this weekend with more pixs! thank u all for the comments and the rep!!!

Looks good, but I second the "why Autometer" comment. I've ridden in tons of cars that have them, and they always seem super cheap. Bouncing needles, way off zero boost gauges, MECHANICAL gauges(which are the worst), etc.

wow nice job! love the suede , the engine, ok pretty much all awesome

96Turbo
07-31-2008, 02:46 PM
the freshness.....

i don't see anything wrong with autometer besides the fact that they look cheesy. they're actually pretty damn accurate for the price. I don't think that being +/- 5% on oil pressure is going to be detrimental to anything. They alert you when there's a problem, you don't need to have accuracy down to the .01th of a psi

oh yea, why do i see that A/C compressor in there? track car ftw!

drftnrps13
07-31-2008, 03:15 PM
there is no ac compressor!

96Turbo
07-31-2008, 03:18 PM
oops, my mistake. that must be a HICAS PS pump...

i saw the two outlets and assumed it was AC. Keep up the good work

drftnrps13
07-31-2008, 03:20 PM
yeah its a hicas pump, i mod. it to run just the front out put! thanks for the super comments everyone!!

hers a litle update! im running full uras kit, 20/25mm bmagic front and rear widebody fenders and vertex black housing headlights, also a vented fiberglass hood. all the body parts fit really nice. im still deceiding on what color to paint the car, but that can wait for now. (the wheels in the pic are p45r rotas 18x9.5+20 with 25mm spacers(-5) all 4 corners) i am in the process of gettn so new wheels much more baller!

enjoy for now!

Who did the machine work on your motor? I am looking for a reputable place to build my RB25 block. Thinking about stepping up to an RB27 so I'll need some honest and precise machine work done. Car looks tits, btw.
