Firefox 3 help

i am using firefox 3 and i really don't like it. I am wondering how can you clear the URL bar that do not show your browsing history and bookmarks. i hated that your bookmark and sites you have visited just pop right now while you type in URL address. does anyone know how to fix that?

i think it was posted on how to do it on the first firefox update thread. im 100% sure it was.


just dont bookmark your porn sites and make it auto clear your history each time you close firefox. haha

actually the fact is I did bookmark some porn sites and i do not want my gf to see it. but that shit just pop right out when you typing things in the URL!!

^^ haha thats why i deleted my "random" bookmark folder. lemme find the fix.

for those of you that went back to firefox 2 because they didnt like the auto complete in the address bar because you go to many porn sites here is your solution

type in about:config

filter down to the following deal (aka look for this)

browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped

double click on it and it will change its value from false to true

exit and you have success


my bookmarks dont show up for me, but I also have another mod that I did in the same about:config window and its...

browser.urlbar.maxRichResults

set it to zero
