What he is doing is also illegal. SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) says you can not use the base post office for any buisness purposes. Not to mention it being "grey market" goods. Just a heads up for those military members that dont want to get busted..... If you want to sell the stuff do it correctly or pay the price.

hello Oberkill, thanks for the advice, but I'm doing nothing illegal....customs forms are filled out to the "t" identifying the purpose and origin of these items. It's up to customs to "tag and tax" the items once they clear US Customs in the US. Do my prices seem like I'm doing this as a business?...All of the merchandise is being sold at cost....Come on did you see the prices on the Power FCs and the HKS R type intercoolers?--->(Some dude in Canada bought practically all of the HKS FMICs and Power FCs)--->You'll probably see them on Ebay shortly....now if this was my business, I'd be selling on EBAY and make a killing.
I've seen the nutty prices the JDM stuff sell for in states, just like to see the SR enthusiasts get items without having to pay an arm and a leg for them. If my deeds are not appreciated, I'll quit advertising items on this board......fair enough?:(

One again.....I will be selling complete JDM S13 front end conversion kits for $500 which will be available in Apr-May timeframe.....can you touch that? I will update the msg board once they arrive.:D

Tokyo_connection - Good luck with that defense if you get caught. I am not saying that I am turning you in or anything I am just making sure some of the younger Military members actually realize that this is not legal. You know the SOFA agreement prohibits it and your prices are very near cost but you also know that US government higher ups, either in the military or not, are difficult to deal with. You also know that others are selling and making money using the FPO address. And if you think selling multiple items to one person who is going to turn around and sell them is not a buisness transaction then you have a surprise coming somewhere down the road.

I do sell parts in the US but I do it completly legally not in the grey zone where you seem to be. I am not in competition with you I as I dont sell any of the stuff you do nor do I really care. As far as my prices they are very reasonable as any of my customers will tell you. I sell parts that I import with very little markup but I import them correctly so they cost more.

As far as advertising do what you want you have the infomation. My recomendation to the other Military members I have seen post out here saying they are going to sell stuff and ship USPS is dont follow this example, its not worth it. If you want to sell stuff there are other shipping methods that will keep you out of trouble. If you need help finding the shipping info in Japan I will be glad to help you, just drop me a e-mail.
