the guy I bought them from said that JIC magic usa does rebuilds.

he also said that they can send you the shock part and you can just transfer all of the spring/bracket/rest of the assembly to it.

which is the best option you think?

only ONE of them is leaking. jic fla2 coilovers... about 4 years old.

a rebuild is practically the same as a new shock

but if you dont want down time just buy the shock body and swap the parts

why dont u call jic an ask them dont just go by what sumone tells
you sum sellers will say anything to get u to buy

also if ur going to rebuild see what it would cost just to see if u would better off gettin new coilovers. why not rebuild all of them if one
poped already and they are all 4years old u will be going to wait longer

Are they the jdm ones?

I recall jic usa not working on ones released in japan.

Who knows.

That sounds about right because allot of times if there is a product and it is released some were else in the world and is identical to the one maid here most likely the manufacture will not work on it because of it being maid somewhere else. Good luck tho =]

Of course I biased :-) but lots of local satisfied customers.

usually a rebuild is your best solution. Give us a call here at the office and we can run through some of your options.

I agree with Apex...if there 4yrs old I would get them all done. I mean no point if only one is new-ish and the other 3 are beaten. Just my 2cents...

Rebuilds are cheaper, but buying a whole new damper equals no downtime.

if you give them your blown set dont they credit you a decent amount ? so you can just buy a new set...?

I had a client come in with a set of older (no longer supported) JIC's for a JDM car, JIC would not service them, but they did offer to order a JDM set to the customer at wholesale pricing if he sent in the old set. we ended up just modifying and rebuilding the set with new damper inserts from Koni. for less money we had more control over damping and I could spec out what I wanted. It worked well, but I have no problems with JIC's service.
