In the market for new belts.. and looking on mynismo.com

MyNismo.com - NISSAN OEM Drive Belts (http://mynismo.com/products/?id=2475)

They say A172M-26ESBVW NISSAN 240SX 1995-1998 2.4 ; Fan & Alternator

Is there only one belt that drives both of these, or do they have their own. Looking under the hood at night, from what I could make out, they don't run off one belt.

I appreciate any explanation lol

I'm pretty sure its 1 for A/C, 1 for alternator and 1 for water pump, power steering.

Thats what I was thinking. For some reason though it looked like the water pump and power steering was sharing a belt, but then again it was dark so I didn't look into it much. I was just online looking at prices, and figured I'd try to get an idea of what I needed since I wanna replace all of em. No telling how old the belts are on the car, but I'm sure their old cause their nissan oem belts, and I think one if not more is starting to make noise. Heck one of the belts, looks like it's not fully resting on one of the pulleys...like at an angle or something.

its not 1 belt. its the same size belt for the acc so they show the same part number.

It's actually not. Alternator is a 4rib belt, PS/water is a 3rib.

So is there listing incorrect. Also are then nissan belts a good choice...they seem to be cheaper than most aftermarktet oem replacements..I mean they have made it to 140k and counting, but I think are on the way out the door.

Alright if clutch fan is on the end of the water pump..that makes the fan belt and the water pump belt basically the same. Okay...

Then if that belt is 3 rib and the alternator belt is 4, why do these 2 sites have em listed as the same. Thats whats confusing me.

So all together I should end up buying 4 belts right...AC, alt, PS, and fan/water.

Thanks for the links and help

No. Ignore what the sites say. Open your hood and look.

Three belts.
4rib for alternator, 30.5 inches long
3rib for water pump (fan clutch)/power steering pump, 39 inches long
4rib for A/C, 35.5 inches long

Any decent belt will be sold in size, IE 355K4, 35.5 inches, 4rib.
