Kinda pisses me off to see coverage about vehicles getting turned to gas prices all the time, it's fucking stupid.

However, big ups on positive drift coverage, good to see.

They just picked a random parking lot and starting drifting on it? How come if we try that here in socal we get major rolled and cops tow our cars and everything.

At least the news isn't bagging on drifting, I think its a great way to use as an example for rising gas prices.

It's the baseball stadium parking lot for the braves in Atlanta. I might have to head down there next month, only about a two hour drive from me. What day of the month do you guys do this?

I dont get it either... I was messing around in a big ass parking lot with a friend a while back and the cops rolled up acting like I just robbed a bank:loco:

Cool that the news did a story on a local event like that.

its an organized event... they've been drifting there for years now (1-2 IDK?)... this is all legal and permission was granted for them to do so..

i will use the Aneheim Ducks for my explaination since you are from Aneheim

notice it said once a month...so that means that they got permission from the owner of the parking lot to do so. if you can get permission from the ducks to use there parking lot to host a once a month drift event to prevent illegal drifting then the cops cant really mess with you because its private property and you have written consent. im also sure that you would have to sign some contracts stating that the ducks are not liable for any injuries or damages.

Thats pretty cool. They didn't trash the sport and promoted safe drifting. That's a lot coming from a news station. Cool find OP.

Yep, it's definitely organized and legitimate. I went down to Atlanta and watched a drift event last year and it was a fun afternoon. One of these days I want to get out there myself.

heck yeah, more power to ya

it's funny how they had to put a spin on gas prices...not like we care all that much or we wouldn't have what we have and drive what we drive..but i'm not complainin. the house of color's purple 180sx is derek's (co-worker), it's bone stock rb25 /w power fc. before the event we tuned it out pretty fat and got [email protected] on our dual eddy mustang dyno (1750).

hope this inspires some to keep it legal.

here's a vid our film crew took of last months event

here's the remix
(the black s13 coupe /w the black/chrome wheels is one of our driver's Adam /w rb25)
