hey searched alot , did not find anything similar to the problem im having but any ways i got a 90' s13 w/ a ka24e, i thought my starter went out on me, so i replaced it.
after installing a new starter it still does not crank, and all i get when i turn the key is a strong click. any ideas, also when if it does start all the way, theres a strong winding noise coming from the starter i suppose.
any help would be appreciated

Pull the starter fuse, found in the interior fuse panel, and then put it back in. If by chance it is blown, replace it with a new fuse.

So it does start sometimes?
Could be weak battery connections (check cables, negative ground).
(assuming you have a 5 speed)
When you hear the click, try hold the key in the on position and play with your clutch pedal (push in and out to hit the clutch switch for the starter)
You can also try kick starting. If it starts when you kick start, you can usually narrow it down to bad starter/battery stuff.
Good luck!

Starter relay is bad. Bypass it.
