So! I've had my 240SX for awhile now and just recently I started laying out my KA-T build. I began with a compression test.
Just a normal, by the book compression test. Removed the coil wire, relieved fuel pressure, removed the spark plugs, screwed in the compression tester. Turned it over 5 times, compression read low.
Here's where I think I went wrong. According to http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=159838. If the compression is low, add a small amount of engine oil to the cylinder through the spark plug hole. I added a half a cap.
Well, it started idling rough, and wont rev past 2500 RPM. I tried to "drive it out". Well, still... I can't rev past 2500 RPM.
When I took the spark plugs out the first time to do the compression test, they were tan/brownish. I tried to "drive it out", I got to where I worked (O'Reilly autoparts), and left the car there so I can change the spark plugs out before I went into work. When I pulled them out in the morning they were black. Not oil fouled, but looks like it ran rich.
So, when I got off work I tried sucking Seafoam through the vacuum hose coming off the brake booster to see if I can flush the oil/carbon out. It smoked really bad, found out I had an exhaust leak coming off my exhaust manifold (another thing to fix) All the smoke was to be expected. Tried to "run it out" again. Still can't get it over 2500 rpms.
When I stab the throttle it doesn't respond. Half throttle I'm fine, past 2500 RPMs it skips and shakes really bad.
I took it to a local shop to see if they can point something out. First shop, "Sell that Japanese piece of shit, buy a chevy/ford blaablahbalbhalbahb". Second shop said it could be the MAF sensor, and/or TPS.
PLEASE help me.
