Ok here is what is going on...
When i start my 90 hatch, it will idle really ruff at about 1000rpms, and you can tell that is isn't firing all the time. If you sit inside the car, and put your hand on the shifter while it is idling, you will feel it move violently every once in a while. I looked under the hood, and imediatly i see that my electrical connections comming from the ECU that attach to the fuel injectors are cracked and broken. Also if you physically grab the fuel injectors, you can twist them around in their seat, with ease. My friend who knows a little more about cars than i do, says that you shouldn't be able to move the fuel injectors around very much at all. Is this true?
Ok here is what i think i need to do...
I just got a $200 check from my parents to fix my car, so i figured i would buy new injectors.
Will this fix my problem?
Will i have to buy new injector seals as well?
Can anyone either scan this part from their FSM or refer me to an informative website about this type of work?
Thank you much,
DbD
