I just got my car back for some reason when I turn the AC on, my car would stall. If I remember right, most cars has something that tells the ECU to bump up the idle when the AC compressor is turned on. How does this work on a our car? Im trying to get an idea where and what to check first to alleviate this issue.

It should be within the ECU, my PFC has the the feature of Adj. the Idle RPM's when the A/C is turned on.

Mine always bogged (stock ECU) I thought about maybe Adj the throttle body cable or the IACV a smidge cuz its annoying coming to a stop and the Idle bogging so much.

My SR started doing this too when in neutral or when the clutch is engaged...but it seems like the problem has developed into stalling even when the A/C ISN'T on. It's almost like the ECU is delayed with talking to the IACV, but now I'm thinking it's possibly another problem on top of that.

FYI- I'm using the KA's A/C parts.

man its been awhile since Ive messed with it,
I know the stock setting is 1000RPMs which should be enough could be something as small as a vacuum leak causing it to stall.

maybe tinker with your Throttle cable adj (close it more if not already)

K, I found the setting and bumped the AC idle to max 1200 rpm...didnt do jack shit. As far as the problem, its not something that just happend out of the blue. I had the car retuned after swapping an engine in. The catch is, this engine has a fully built Tomei head with solid lifters and Tomei 270 12.5 lift cams, so the idle is lopey as fuck. My idle is all over the place as it is...

Perhaps you should check the IACV to make sure it's clean? It can get dirty and stop working properly over time. You may not be affected by it that bad when the car was stockish, but now w/ those huge cams, it probably reared its ugly head.

:werd: 270's are sick

does it only stall when you kick the A/C on or Any time the A/C is on?
you might have to raise the Idle in general, the Idle "kick up" is really slow as i had noticed with the PFC

With those cams you might only be able to Use it when cruzin lol

Pretty much, coming to a stop with the AC on, the engine will stall out. I either have to turn it off or heel toe it to the stone and ride the gas a bit.

As far as the AICV, pretty much ripped it off, cleaned it and even managed to bore it out to let it suck more air in, didnt do jack shit...:-/

Maybe try opening up the TB a little more via the throttle butterfly adjustment screw?

If the clutch on the a/c compressor took a crap then it will bogg at idle all the time. I just recently tried using my a/c and when the compressor would kick in the idle would fluctuate and usually bog.
Right now I'm looking for a new compressor.
