Ok I did my sr swap about 2 years ago and always had small issues , and i worked them out little by little , now i finally decided to tuck away my harness , witch was done by me also , but now i found a problem that maybe some of have already worked out , now i used the fr sport guide . but when you have to wire the chassis sockets into the 240sx one , i know that almost no one cares or wires the 3rd small grey socket , and most people just leave it there ( i have seen enough harnesses to tell ) , but now i traced the cables so i could eliminate them from the harness but i realized that one of the wires ( blue and red )on the small grey socket goes to one of the pins of the idle motor , now in the guide it says to splice together black and blue and red wire , but does anyone have a diagram of the idle motor , circuit , i am wondering if this was the reason why i had a really crappy idle , please if anyone could chime in it would be apreciated and i will contact frsport and have them add that so that new people dont make this mistake. thanks

I'm lost. Nowhere in any guide does it say to splice together the black/blue and red wires. In fact, there isn't a black/blue wire anywhere on the SR harness period.

You do splice together the blue/red and black/red for ignition and ignitor power, but those are found in the chassis plug by the battery, neither of those have anything to do with the IACV circuit. One of the leads on the IACV is also blue/red but it's not the same wire, nor is it even the same gauge.

ok the guide says

Black / Red
Blue / Red Black / Red stripe Main ignition power

now yes i am talking about the thing blue/red wire that is in in the small grey socket by the battery, i was wondering if you knew what to do with that wire , or what is it there for . thanks.

The blue/red in the IACV socket goes straight to the ECU. It's a completely different wire than the blue/red large gauge wire that powers the ignitor.

Yup. 100% agreed with Russ.

If my memory serves me correctly, the small gauged blue/red wire on the IACV is the wire that tells the IACV to kick up the idle when the A/C compressor comes on, which is controlled by the blue/green wire.

oook so that one dosent have to be connected to anything :w00t: thanks guys

Yes, I am going to bump this 5yr old thread as I am very naive and picky and I am coming across this same thing!

I believe the above statement is incorrect. The blue/red striped wire does NOT go directly to the ECU. The Blue/red stripe wire goes from the small black plug pictured above to the IACV plug on the engine. I too, am trying to figure out where this wire should be connected to on the opposite end of the IACV valve. As mentioned above, most people are not connecting this to anything.

The blue/red wire needs to see 12V when AC is on. You can tap to the AC trigger wire out of the relay.

There are two wires going to the AAC and there are two wires going to the IACV.
AAC - LT Blue and Black/yellow.
LT Blue - AAC Valve Control
Black/Yellow - FRSport indicates it is IACV Power (which i believe it is actually AAC Power)

IACV - Blue/red and Green/blue
This is where I am confused.
