Getting ready to install this weekend....... Where do you guys who have run these install the sensor? Does it matter if its before or after the throttle body? I've seen some installed on the cold side IC piping... if thats the case is it best to get a bung welded on, or will it be thick enough to just tap the pipe? And if a bung is suggested, what thread pitch is the sensor? Just trying to get everything together for a smooth install, thanks!

Im using a GM Open Element IAT. Im using Megasquirt allows me to use any Thermoresistor 2 Wire sensor from any manufacture.
Pretty sure it's supposed to go between the first and second runners on the intake mani...

i tapped it on the intake manifold.
it's okay to tap on the cold pipe before the TB but i think the best way is to follow the instruction.

I have used them on both the cold pipe and the intake manifold itself. I prefer the cold pipe. it should help the sensor from becoming heat soaked as fast or as much as the intake manifolds can get quite hot compared to the piping.
I am not a tuner so i don't have near the amount of data as someone that does a lot of tuning on whether it actually makes a difference.
