I know absolutely I am the proper number of links apart from intake to exhaust (7 whole links)...what I didn't think about is what if I installed the exhaust slightly low or high and the intake opposite.

I'd be in effect half a link off in relation to TDC...about 9 degrees I think.

Would this be very obvious or just half the power be off.

I have an S14 w/ KA24DE...I was trying to find the mating mark on the intermediate gear, but I couldn't see a 'dot' on the gear face.

For some reason the longblock I ordered was and it did start and run. It idled very rough and would sometimes shut off under acceleration. You will be able to hear it my car sounded like a muscle car. I have since then reset the timing.

Ya I would like to know the same question.

My SR was off a whole link and have really low compression. I did my best to adjust the cams to line up correctly. The compression went up to the 138ish on each cylinder, but I just feel my power is getting cut short due to it being off 1/2 a link.
