Well my mom has a crv that was hit real light in the quarterpanel so we took it to a professional auto bodyshop that those work on classics and top of the line work so i tought. Well they charged her 400 to fix the damage and it was ready in a day to pick up.
So when my dad took it home i got to check it out but they did a half ass job on it. they over sprayed the black plastic bumper and the tailight some bit. So I had to make my father take the car back cause he doesnt like to argue with people lol. So when they picked it up on friday it looked fine after they cleaned it up.and even but some shiny spray over it so it looked fine at first.
But when I went to go check it out yesterday i saw that it looked like ass and that they put black fuckin maker over the parts they oversprayed on the rear bumper and he even markered some of the quarter panel . So i finally decided to go to the shop today and the guy started telling me off and theres nuttin he could do and that he didnt paint anything with markers. SO i started telling him off and that i want this shit fixed now and he began to threaten me that he will hit me cause i was still in his shop. I was telling him that i wish he would hit me. I noticed we werent goin nowhere so i just left. Now what can i do about this situation Thanks in advance

ya that sucks man, I paint too, I used to do some shady shit, and learned it isnt worth it.
IF YOU HAVE any questions of what to look for, pm me, ill let u know where to look, because a lot of these shops (bodyshops i mean) do shortcuts that affect drivability and other things
---
its not how the shop looks, its the work they do. I learned the hard way to realize that...

Take care!

"Peoples Court" See you on TV!
Though a Clean shop is more presentable and would make a customer think that they're more organized...as you said though, not always true.

I work for an insurance company and deal with body shops on a daily basis. I would always recommend insurance approved repair facilities as there's a lifetime warranty on it even if you don't go through insurance. Report to BBB or BAR if it's worth the hassle to you. Some shops will say they'll do this and that, but never actually perform the work. I hate shady body shops. As a recommendation in choosing body shops, always pick one with a clean looking quality paint booth.

go to the bbb. Place a small claims lawsuit and TAKE PICTURES!!!! Threaten him at the wallet and he'll crumble.
You should have let him hit you. You could have changed the name to the Zilvia.net bodyshop!!!!

Naw, Take it to another shop and have them "fix" the mistakes. With there estimate being clear what was done wrong. Take pictures before and after.
Take the shitty shop a copy of the new bill and ask them to pay up or you will see them in court.
If you take it to a decent, well known(BBB and Insurance Providers List) place to fix it you should have no problem in court.
To late to take it to the insurance.

S14DB - so your saying, if I take my car to 1day paint, and they paint my windows and lights, I can fix it, and do it right, and take 1day to court for that? Curious, since man I HAVE ALOT of customers asking me about that, because most of my customers are 1day paint victims.

ok heres what you really need to do. find their paint dump, usually a 30 or 55 gallon drum they put their extra paint in, tip it over, and light that shit on fire!! with all the solvents it takes to make paint and the reducers they add in... that shit will burn, and it will burn hot....

Yeah, documentation is the key. You have to show:
-The Estimate given buy the shop that made the mistake.
-Pictures of the mistakes. High res the better.
-Failure of the shop to repair mistakes or care.
-Estimates of shops(at least 3 IMHO) noting poor work and cost of repair.
Then go back to the shop and show copies of the estimate and ask them to ether make repairs or refund the amount the average of the other 3 shops want for the repair. Depending on state you usually can't ask for more then cost.
If they refuse.
-Sue them. File and see if they want to settle.
-If they don't. Then take your car to be repaired buy one of the quoted shops.
-Go to court. You will usually only get the amount you paid them back. Unless they did more damage painting then the area they were supposed to paint.
