Registering a JDM Car.

Hi I have a 1994 Nissan Silvia S14, and i would like to register it. i do not know any information on how to, or what to do. Ive heard a guy in florida can do it but he charges around 3-4 grand. I only got the receipt of where i bought it from. no De-Registration papers no documents or nothing like that. so if anyone can got any ideas on how to do it please lmk. thanks. ps. note that i am willing to fly here and there to get it done.. need any more information feel free to ask. thanks and hope to hear from you guys soon.

Being that you have no required paperwork you're chances of getting it impounded are highly likely. There's plenty of "guys" that can do it but that's just as risky.

I'm not trying to be rude but if you didn't know what you were getting into then you should have never bought the car.

Very true!!! Without the De-registration paperwork, a government agency is going to think you have an illegal vehicle. I would recommend parting the vehicle out.

good luck with that many people paid some "guy" from motorex 50k+ for a "legal" JDM car now they're getting them impounded and crushed

yea but thats only to r32 and r34. ive read that thread a long time ago too. Ive got a few buddies of mine who have bought r33 already leagalized and when they brought it to the dmv everything was fine. theyd inspect it thoroughly and everything was clean. only problem is that insurance only willing to pay liability for it, not full coverage.

haha theres no way in hell im doing that. i love that car.. what ZIPTIEDCOUPE said in a PM that i should do a vin swap. ive have thought about it. but is it too risky?? how many spots in the car does the vin show? i just know the engine bay, the dash (but jdm dash dont got it) and the 2 sticker in the door jams.
