They do that over there all day long. An interior shot would help. You could see what side the ebrake is on. It's on the driver side, whatever side that may be. So if the driver side and ebrake aren't on the same side then it's a conversion.

I know for a fact that in 1997 or 1998 a Philippines Nissan dealership ordered 70 units of 200SX S14a which were all SR20DET AT tranny and only 1 was a MT tranny......freggin.....they there S14's got euro bumpers, fender & a 220 KPH odometer!!! and a rear windshield wiper also the rear bumper has a rear fog light!! damn it......I myte be going to the philippines to buy the 200SX conversion and ship it over here via UPS lol...anyone have any experience shipping thru UPS?

I was home for Christmas, my dad had to "smog" his Tamaraw FX to get his new registration. Yes another fucking government racket to take your money.

Smog, haaaaa, bureaucracy, red tape and fucking corruption is so bad, I dont see it ever getting better. Everybody's too worried to either get the fuck out or how to get more money in their pockets. :down:

PS: Back to the topic, guess the guy who imported it had sold it a while back and now rocks a Kouki S14. A company called DMF made the dash. Its a full carbon fiber mold and not a hacked S14 dash. Theres supposed to be 2 LHD S15s in Philippines. That one and another white one but its a Spec S (non-turbo).

same in taiwan. its not legal to drive RHD cars on the road, so the convert it to LHD. you see there S14 with sunroof in LHD, also S15, R33, R32, R34... everything :) ...they build a new dashboard in original quality!
but they dont change the doorboards. so the driver can just adjust the left sidewindow ;)

the factory will make certain parts for cars to make them legal in whatever country they are trying to sell them in. the cost for them to make a mold of a dash, and change some air duct piping isnt NEARLY as steep as the money they would loose by not selling xxx amount of cars in xxx country. (considering they do not have to modify or change the chassis/engine)

the main reason we dont have the bad ass cars here, for one, they arent (USA) emissions legal, they dont meet (USA) crash test ratings, for a manufacturer to reproduce an entire chassis would be a serious waste of money, considering the small amount of sales it would have here.
the general (US) population doesn't care about 2 door sports coupes, they want bulgy, large, 4 door sedans, gas guzzling SUVS, or trucks.

and what kind of "special team" do you think the government has, to pump out even 4000 cars PER DAY, they would have to employ at least 4000 people, now that would be great for the economy, but come on, do you really think they have a special team of 30 to 40 guys who can rip apart a dash, and re route piping, install new dash in under 30 minutes? I think not.

i was in Philippines last year and visited DMFdrift shop and they had some cool sh!t, and yes all the cars from japan are converted to LHD, it is illegal to drive RHD there, they cut and fiberglass the dash and paint with texture paint or re wrap it to look stock, here are pics from when i was there

I used to live in the Philippines.. now im here at US repping my s13. lol
anyway before i left the Philippines my neighbor was daily driving a LHD r32. also i saw this s15 bone stock for sale LHD low mileage. and a track/drift, another neighbor of mine, AE86. i never knew it was illegal to drive a rhd there cause i saw a r33,r32(not my neighbor's),and r34 all rhd cruisin on less than 5mph traffic lol
