yo ok so i got this estaban american legacy acoustic/elec guitar that was a gift long time ago.. ive messed with it a few times.. mostly didnt have the time to learn it... but usually having family guests over playing with it, id get the "you need to tune it" yadda crap and people always messin with your stuff tweaking the strings like they know whats best.. til eventually some time later i go to grab it and see one of the strings broke..
Since i dont know shit about em, what do i need to know about ordering strings online? do they come with all of em or do i need to know which specific one to order? i know it aint no bombass acoustic but its somethin to mess around/learn on.

You can order individual strings or the whole set. I'd change all of them since it really doesn't cost much. Get a tuner too its like 20$

always change strings as a set, otherwise you'd have one good sounding one and 5 old sounding ones (yes, the sound DOES change as they age)
and i usually get super slinkies
sometimes hybrid slinkies

Since your a beginner i dont think you'll notice the different gauge strings. As far as brands ernie ball and d'addarios have all ways been on my list. Definately get a tuner too and start practicing damn it lol.

:ugh: why would he buy from mf?
it would end up being ~10$ shipped for ONE pack of strings unless he planned on buying 28 to get the free shipping on most orders over $99

If you have just started to play and havent really calloused your fingers all the way. Get something like a 10 gauge, It hurts your fingers less. As for brand Martins or Daddarios is good. Or if u just want get sum elixers but alil bit more pricier.
