these are not the newest design though and they are on an S13... i don't think you should have the fitment problems i'm having but i'm going to get a new slip pipe made so it lines up sometime soon. You should notice some nice gains between 3500 and 5000rpm especially if you have intake and exhaust. There is a good amount more noise than i was used to with my intake and N1 Dual, but i'm getting used to it. If you keep it below 3500 you shouldn't attract too much attention.

Overall... once i get the new slip pipe made and my exhaust lines up again i'll be pretty happy with it, i'm starting to notice the power gains more as of lately. :)

thanks for the reply. i just got them in right now. im not getting a good seal from the header to that resonator. it makes this pft pft pft sound, haha. i dont like that kind of sound =( im going to try and use the stock gasket and the one provided by HS. hopefully ill get it sealed.

on the install, i was having a hard ass time taking the stock header off. took forever. just reamoving the cat from the upper part of the header(the manifold) took up most the time.

all in all, after installing the header and running the car, i dont like the sound. :( maybe its because of that leak, but we'll see what i can do about that.

i've been thinking about getting a header also. I thought there was not supposed to be a fitment problem with the newest HS design...so far i'm not liking the HS header because of the fitment problems...i'm debating between HS and Greddy:confused:

well i would rather go with HS than greddy. they have the same design and i've read/heard of them cracking. i fixed the problem with the small leak. used the stock gasket and the one provided by hs. sounds a little smoother than before. i was thinking of taking the header off and putting the stock one, but im happy with them so they stay! ill post pics up tomorrow.

Actually, as long at hotshot has kept the 4-2-1 design that removes the CAt than it and the Greddy header are not the same. The Greddy has a 4-1 design that bolts right up to the cat, avoiding any possible emissions problems. As for fitment, I can't say anything about hotshot, as I have no experience, but I was amazed at how well the greddy fit. Oh, I was wondering where anyone has heard about the Greddy header cracking, because personally this is the first I heard of it. Oh well, just me $.02 Oh, and hope everyone had a good X-mass.

well ive read it hear on the boards a couple months back. maybe some people didnt fit it in right? there were like 3 or 4 people ive read about that had the Greddy header crack on them. i didnt know that the greddy was a 4-1 header. correct me if im wrong, but doesnt the 4-1 header give more power for drag racing. and the 4-2-1 is a bit smoother throughout the whole rpm?

Yup. Those Greddy headers suck. They have great fitment, looks great and good quality but they will crack. I returned mine to Greddy after cracking and they sent me a new one. Then decided to just sell it.

here is a picm of the greddy. the design is not that much better than a stock manifold. looks great. i ended up selling it before i ever used it.
