hi i have a Sds standalone system installed on my 92 nissan 240 sx with a redtop SR in it. after putting in the new system obviously the speedo stopped working as it doesnt use any of the stock harness or sensors my question is, is it possible to wire in the speedometer with out the stock ecu or harness. and if so what pins on the back of the gauge cluster are the speedometer signal, power, ground etc n wheres the speed sensor on the engine or tranny n what wiring would that need.
if it needs the use of the ecu then what kind of wiring would be required from the sensor in the engine bay to the ecu which id only be plugging in for the speedo ,seeing as there is nothing of the stock harness in the engine bay.
any help on this would be greatly appreciated thank you. ill post photos for the curious tomorrow

you don't need to take out your cluster to get the speed signal wire for the guage...

it's in your dash plug by the ecu....green/yellow stripe, if you want to you can run that all the way to your square 8 pin connector at the underhood fuseblock. there you'll see the 8 pin connector. tap into your green/yellow wire there and you should be good.
