oK, my car/car wheel wont stop shaking! I DONT KNOW what to do! I tried putting 4 brand new ... balanced tires,very very little change if not none. I do need an alignment, however i doubt that has anything to do with. The car has never been in an accident, only has 71K miles on it.

Could it be a wheel bearing? I dont really hear it roar'in, but
maybe? Any ideas?

I also dont see a leak near the rack and pin ... so i assume that is
good, plus i replaced the two lower tension bars.

Oh its a 90 240sx .. and shakes at 60 MPH - 85 MPH ...

PLEASE before I go INSANE with the shakes.

P.S. What about a steering stabalizer or something? I need

I remember someone having a problem with a semi-frozen slider on one of the rear calipers. He was shocked when he found what the problem was because its just not one of the common problems for a wheel shake. It might be worth checking out. Just look for uneven wear between the inside and outside pads.


Also if you have aftermarket wheels, make sure you have the proper hubrings because an improperly mounted wheel can cause the same vibration.

No, it shakes when I am braking .. and not braking. Doesnt matter, but it does shake more when I goto brake.

I stopped n asked my old mechanic, he says its possible it
could be my draftshaft is out of balance or my
center bearing in my d.shaft is gone bad.

I dunno what to do, I am at a loss. Yea, Im gonna
check for that rear slider ... but how does it affect the
front end? Its in the wheel.

It may be your TC rod bushings connected to the front wheels. They are a goo filled bushing that is usually the first to go bad. On the bright side, they are only $40 from PDM-racing.com. Just look under your car, from the lower bar connecting to your hub, and go towards the center of the car. You'll see a big donut shaped bushing with a bolt going thru it. If it's cracked or worn (or missing) that's probably the culprit.

Like everyone has said before, check the tc rods.

My car used to shake really hard when I would brake at fairly high speeds. Turned out that my rotors were warped.
