View Full Version : Water on Mars?

So recently, we hear how the probe has found ice on the red planet and how the clay structures support the idea that water was once abundant on the surface. All I have to say is, who the fuck cares? Gasoline is 4+ dollars a gallon and our planet is spending billions of fucking dollars to debate whether or not another planet once had water on it instead of figuring out our current energy problems... :duh:

Wait, maybe there is oil on Mars.

Oh sorry, we wouldn't be allowed to drill for it anyway.

I think it's exciting. We need to continue exploring other planets.

We would have $4/ gallon gas even if were stopped space exploration.

^and thats the truth.

either way, we'd be screwed.

Water = life

Unleast, that is the hope.

Not like the Space Shuttle burns Gasoline anyway. :keke:

I thought the EXACT same thing... they'll probably find water and Pheasants or some shit and not let us drill anyways.

It's cool that there may be water, and maybe bacteria or some shit... I kinda wonder if it was worth billions to find that out. lol

Even if we find all this stuff there, and eventually send a crew to mars, it's not like we have nearly the capability to bring any decent amount of materials back with us besides an amount to study in a lab. So basically if oil was found there? Ok cool...

How the hell we gonna get it?

i can see it now... war for the oil on mars lol

feeler: Selling all personal belongings, colonizing Mars to make billions selling oil to spaceships...

that is such a waste of time and money!! isn't like a 6 month ride to get there?? so what if there is oil and water?? how much would it cost to get equipment out there then start drilling and shit and send it back??

And who the fuck wants to live there just to drill for oil??

Government retards!!

Finding water on Mars is pretty useless to every single one of us and following generations after us but it is a step forward for mankind and the prevention of our extinction.

Humans = parasites. Knowing there are usable resources on Mars is giving us a possible future solution when we use up all of Earth's natural resources. Chances are if Mars was once inhabited by something, there is oil up there, since we all know that oil comes from dead plants and organisms after millions and millions of years of decomposing.

That bad ass tank of gas you had at the track one day? Yea, that was probably from a t-rex or something. Just imagine how bad ass you'd go if you had http://www.theboxset.com/images/reviewcaptures/1697cap008.jpg this guy as your gas!

EDIT : STATICx27 beat me FAIL FOR ME!!!!

has nobody realized that oil is a refined fossil fuel.

You have to have fossils to make the fossil fuel.

In order to make fossils crap has to be alive.

Mars= no crap alive.

no crap alive=no oil

FAIL

exploration of our galaxy will bring up more planets yet to be found... anyone hear anything about pluto going missing... water on mars will always be debated on but where are we going by finding out that it has water... what will result of this?

Pluto didnt really go missing... just that we found more shit waaay out there and needed a new definition of "planet." The Discovery of Eris introduced the class "Dwarf Planet" and Pluto happen to fit that defintion with its size, mass, and offset orbit. We kicked Pluto out like a dirty whore.
