Looks like both of my R33 GTS-t 4-piston front brake calipers are leaking brake fluid.... most likely cuz its gettin old. Its a '98 S14. Its slowly leaking and dripping out towards the tires.... the fluid in the master is slowly getting low... I have to refill it periodically to get it up to avoid air bubbles. http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/images/smilies/squint.gif

1) Does this mean I have to rebuild my brakes?
2) Can I use the 300ZX (Z32) Brake Caliper Rebuild to rebuild R33 Calipers, and will it work just as good?
3) For people who rebuilt front brakes before, how difficult and how long does it take?
4) Yes I did search.

make sure the leak isn't coming from the lines.
once you have done that, located the leak and see where its coming from on the caliper.

-if its leaking in the center of the caliper where the two pieces meet then you could be missing the two inner o rings that will cause a leak.

-ifs its leaking anywhere else then your pretty much fucked and most likely need a rebuild.

yes you can use them same as the Z rebuild kits, the rebuild process isn't immpossible to do, but its also a pain.

^^ this is the most common way of rebuilding.

GL, +1 for u!

make sure it's not the bleeders. I couldn't use speed bleeders with my R33 GTST without them dripping. I may have been able to torque them beyond specs to stop this, but I'd rather not snap off a bleeder.

I rebuilt my front and back calipers. It's an easy job. I had a machine shop blow out the pistons for me and they only charged me $10. The rest is cake.

I had mine power coated before the rebuild. They even cleaned them for me inside.

filling the reservoir isn't going to keep air from getting in the system.

the air will enter directly from wherever its leaking from.

in other words, get that fixed quickly
