Ok, guys I need some help with my AC I can't figure out what the problem is. The car is a 93 coupe with stock KA, the AC has already been converted over to R 134 and I charged the AC system last week with my neighbor, but the air still doesn't blow cold.

Before we charged the system, we hooked up a vacuum and vacuumed out the system for almost 2 hours. After the system was completely vacuumed out, we checked the system for leaks and it was air tight. We proceeded to empty 3 12 ounce cans of R 134 into the system and the AC still blows warm air. The compressor kicks on and draws the refrigarant, but the lines don't even get cold like they should. What should I check? Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Expansion valve could be bad. Did you replace the drier while the system was open?

No, I didn't replace anything. How can you test the expansion valve to make sure its faulty.

Damn I just had the same exact problem
Mine was running perfect after installing another electric fan then started doing the exact same thing

At first I thought it was my Thermo Contorl Amp cuz the plug for the terminal board had broken solder points,
I repaired it-Didnt work, replaced it- Didnt work

I suspected the expansion valve but i wasnt sure.

plus one for the drier, its probley full of moisture or the desicant in it could have exploded. If thats the case then i would flush it out and put a filter in it. It can clog up ur orfice tube.

You really need to hook it up to some gauges to see what your pressures are doing in order to correctly diagnose your problem. Without knowning what your pressures are doing all you can do is replace parts one by one.

also check your condenser fan, if thats not working your AC will blow warm especially at idle
