I need some advice from some of you guys. A bunch of my friends and I are planning a trip to mexico for the first week of september, cancun to be exact and to my knowledge it dead in the middle of hurrican season. Anyone have any experience with traveling there at that time?

I know we are risking going during a bad week but I am just looking for some input from people who have been there at that time

i havnt been there personally during that time. but what i know from seasons, that's the start of fall just like here. not sure about hurricanes. it would be a decent time to go somewhere in south america as it will be the start of spring there.

cancun is too expensive and hyped

you should look into other beaches like Puerto Vallarta to be exact which is on the west coast of Mexico. really nice but if money isnt an issue than Cancus is nice.

ive never been there during that season but i can tell you when you get an hotel i stayed at the mayan palace but anyways to get the point a tip is try to get tours of the hotels and you could get there for free by a shuttle offered and just look around and at the end get free food, compliments of the hotel! thats what me and my family did to save moneyand some hotel have all day buffets for free its food chillin in the middle of the hotel pretty sweet and dont forget mosquito repellent
