well i have when i was in need of a lift but it was my gf's car...but im super paranoid tho and i marked the oil filter and i told them that i did and i stood out in front of the car and watched them do it. a little overkill but i do what i need to to get it done right

jiffylube = fail as an employer and in customer service.. just do your own oil changes unless its a super emergency

i used to work for jiffy lube. motherfuckers are greedy up the ass! as u see in the video,the guy named leo has a position called a C.S.A. Which stands for "Customer Service Advisor". they try to upsale the shit out of people because they have a certain goal to meet. at the store i used to work had an average monthly goal between 85-100 thousand net sales a month. the also have a "ticket" average that is supposed to be about 68 bucks a day. if u are a c.s.a and don't meet those goals,they get on your ass and threaten to demode you and eventually fire you. we have had lots of cars who really just needed an oil change and wind up doing fuel system cleaning,fuel filter replacement,and all that other "good" stuff when they really didn't. we also have had customers who are so anal about their shit getting done a certain way that they minus well do it themselves. ooohh!! and i forgot to mention...if u have a bad ass car,don't take it to jiffy lube! sometimes those employees have snuck out of their work area with the key of a car they like or whatever and make copies of the key!!! AND EVENTUALLY STEAL THE CAR.

wow. thats some sneak BS. when my mom took her car there one time they tryed to charge 5 bucks for a coolant top off?! i can buy a whole thing of coolant for that price!

I used to work for Jiffy Lube, too... not my finest moment in life!
The district managers are always on the managers' asses to upsell stuff- ridiculous. The service intervals they recommend are so ridiculously underrated it's sick- nearly new cars, and they're selling transmission flushes, fuel system cleanings, etc...
They totally prey on uneducated people- even if they DID perform the jobs they sold, in most cases they weren't necessary anyway.

And yeah, our shop was as guilty as those... if we had a car come in where the oil filter was right next to a red-hot manifold on a hot summer day, well... we had a part number for that oil filter- "PZ-99". As in, shiny-shine, 99. Just a quick spray with some brake cleaner (to remove any smiley faces), and on your way!
That job sucked so bad, and the upper management were such d-bags, it took any pride in quality work away... just doing barely enough to meet minimum sales goals and avoid visits from the regional guys.

I had to laugh watching that video- it brought back memories! Glad I worked there back before spy cameras that small were affordable!!

this is pretty old...i have friends that work at jiffy lube and i take my car to them. i pay them in cash, they pocket it, i get my work done, and it's all good.

Haha PZ-99 damn that must be universal we used that at our Jiffy Lube too.

Jiffy Lube is awesome until the cars start rolling in. I love how all the guys that work the shitty job like in the pit or under the hood always try to help the customer out but the CSA and Manager try to upsell everything and screw the customer. Fun highschool job though.

One of my best friends in high school got a almost brand new 350z. Within a month of getting it he took it in to Jiffy Lube for an oil change , Jiffy Lube employee gets in goes to put it in reverse and has it in a forward gear instead and ends up ramming it into the wall of the place. They had to pay for it but still doesn't make up for the accident on the carfax.
