I'm in need of assistance please techs. My speedometer hasn't been working since i bought my 90 s13 hatch a month or so ago. It hasn't been that big of a deal until my fuel started cutting off at about 3000-4000 rpm after 3rd. When my speedo decides to work fuel distribution is fine. I have a big mess of sensors hanging loose under the tranny that i assume are the speed sensors. Chilton's manual isn't very detailed and i need help locating the proper sensor. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Sounds like the previous owner tried to bypass the speed governer and screwed up.
W/out seeing the mess of wires it's impossible to det' exactly what was done;
However, if u disconnect the blue wires from the back of the speedo cluster harness you WILL cut the tach signal which would appear to kill the limiter....not so, it will actually induce an early limit like you're experiencing.
Hook the speedo back up and your problem may disappear.

Thanks for the reply, but there seem 2 be two harnesses hanging. 1 somewhat attached the other with open end wires. Which harness is which?
